9-bit Records (founded by Drew Wheeler, aka halc), is an independent netlabel and artist collective that releases a wide variety of electronic music. Our primary focus is on music blending old-school chiptune sounds with modern synthesis and production, or as we like to call it, 9-bit - for a crash course, click here. However, purist chiptunes as well as non-chiptune oriented electronica will be accepted at our discretion. We offer promotional assistance without a 'catch' - publish your own music on Bandcamp keep 100% of the profits; we just want to help it reach more earholes.
We also publish multi-artist/compilation albums and video game soundtracks; however we do not publish video game remix/arrangement albums. Send all that stuff to OverClocked ReMix or GameChops. ;)
